BoHo Chic

Having a sea change and moving from the city down the coast means an entirely different style of dressing. Gone are the days of stiletto heels after wrecking a few heels pulling them out of the cracks between the decking boards! The strict, tailored, black wardrobe has been ditched in favour of brighter colours and more relaxed pieces. In fact on the whole, I am ashamed to say I am a whole heap lazier in terms of hair, clothes and make-up. This bohemian style is well suited to relaxed living on the coast. I occasionally need to keep myself in check before I take it too far!

The Love Behind Love on a Leash: Carol Whitehead

Posted by om 0 comments
For much of the last fifteen years, Carol Whitehead has spent her days and nights in the presence of dogs. She derives joy from their expression of love and affection every time they greet their human companions and is in admiration of their ability to welcome each new day with enthusiasm and wonder. Carol values how their living in the now reminds her to approach each day with some excitement about what may unfold. Carol has a lifetime of experience with dogs having worked in the industry either dog sitting or managing doggy businesses both on the retail scene and in the canine food industry and believes a day without a dog is like a day without sunshine. Dogs bring so much joy and laughter to Carol’s life that she tries to interact with every dog whose path she crosses. In fact, Carol would consider herself lucky to be a “loved” dog in another life!

Meet Carol and the rest of the Love on a Leash team here.

a little Sunshine on a rainy day

Hey kids!
Happy May! Here on the N.J. Shore we are experiencing some residual April showers that are really making us long for those May flowers. It sure ain't digging ditches, but being an artist...the long concentrated hours of working with your hands...definitely results in aches and pains every time a gray rainy day comes along. So sunny days are a hot commodity for us folks who should be way too young to have all these aching joints.
Right now it's May 2nd...halfway to Cinco de Mayo...and we're doing our best to channel some sunshine. In our artwork and decor we've got kind-of a tight color palette...and yellow has never been the focal point. But there's something about yellow that sets every other color off. I guess the same way that the sun ignites every flower in the garden, every leaf on the tree.

Sending you love and sunshine,
xo Jenny
