Every year my husband and I go on a road trip.

Some years we drive for days up the coast
and others we stick close to home.
Derek surfs along the way and I read mags on the beach.
We mix camping with cheap roadside motels and
the occasional luxury splurge in a fancy boutique hotel.
Romantic restaurants are intermingled
with camp bbq's, fish and chips on the beach
and pub meals.

All in all they are great adventure, discovering new places
and re-visiting favourite old ones.

We take each day as it comes, carefree and spontaneous.
