Hey dolls!

Happy Monday! How was your Easter weekend? Here on the NJ Shore Easter means one thing...The Boardwalk opens! Families dressed in their Easter best spend the day walking along and breathing in the salty air. Kids and adults alike, playing stands and sampling the rides and delicious boardwalk treats in equal measure...oh jeez...I can smell them now! the zeppolis, and funnel cake, candy apples, and some of the best french fries in the world. And fresh squeezed lemonade is a must. The breeze was blowing just right today and we could hear the sounds of the boardwalk from our backyard. It was sunny & warm and sure enough my brother Jason came walking up with a cone he got from the ice cream truck...which he then shared lick for lick with all the pups! They love their Uncle Jason!

Ok, so it is officially Spring! Bring on the pastels! Not that I don't observe Spring in my attire all year round...but now the shops are full of all the magical colors and dresses that make me melt. I've been so so inspired by Meadham Kirchhoff's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. We got to see it in Fashion previews months back and the moment I saw it I was just giddy. It doesn't happen every year for me but every once in a while a fashion collection comes along that sings directly to my soul. I'm looking at all of the runway pics and these girls are like the walking version of my art journals and inspiration boards. And

wow...the Shoes! Aaron took one glimpse at them and said he thinks that someone must be spying on my dreams somehow! The shoes are by Nicholas Kirkwood. That fab make-up is by MAC...and they dazzle us right down to the itty bitty bits...check out the nail wraps!! Directly inspired by the adorable decals found on doll beds and children's furniture of the 50's and 60's. Back when me and Aar were furniture painters we did custom kids rooms and painted our own versions of that stuff all the time.
