Hey friends! Happy Independence Day! We're hoping you all have some fun plans for the day. Maybe some family and friends, time out in the yard, or beach, or park. Or if you're anything like me you prefer the air conditioning and maybe some crafting with a fur ball at your feet.
It has been mega hot and humid here on the NJ Shore. Luckily today it seems we get a break from the rain that has been arriving every single afternoon for like a week and a half. Just in time for the fireworks we'll be seeing tonight all up and down the coast and across the bay for as far as the eye can see. From the beach you can literally see dozens of fireworks displays all at the same time...even Macy's way across the pond in NYC.
For dinner we'll be grilling up some steak tacos with homemade chimichurri and pico de gallo. And for dessert we're baking up our new favorite brownies. A fledgeling addition to our list of fave recipes. We've made these brownies twice in the past week and a half! They are so so so good and you will not believe the secret ingredient! We'll be sharing that recipe with you this weekend! Gluten Free too!
Don't think for a second that its too late to get your patriotic craft on! Gather up some red, white and blue (and of course some sepia and black) goodies and take some time to make something in the spirit of the holiday.
