I love the rich dark chocolate floorboards in these Hamptons style beach houses. The velvety, dark boards are off set with lots of bright white or creamy white walls. The dark boards add strength and character to the rooms and give the spaces depth. Lately there has been a real trend with clients wanting dark floorboards so you can see how trends go trans Atlantic and filter across to all corners of the globe. I'm just glad I don't have to keep them clean!
