Simple and stylish furnishings, sensuous bedlinen and a pale, subdued colour palette predominate in elegant coastal style bedrooms with a Hamptons feel. Decorative details are limited to a few favoured ornaments and pictures. Upholstered or cane bedheads are the most popular bedhead choices but antique or four poster beds will also compliment this look. Televisions and mod cons should be discrete to let other elements take centre stage such as lighting, drapes, occasional furniture and feature chairs.
