When I was in my twenties I had a very talented and innovative friend that I met at fashion school. She was older than me, wiser and a lot more sophisticated. She was a great mentor. She had this amazing knack at finding fabulous things like Dior shoes, never worn, in op shops and great places to live that were amazingly cheap but with enormous potential. Once she bought a run down Fisherman's Cottage. It was really nothing much more than a boat shed but it was right on the sand sitting on a very pretty beach. She paid next to nothing for it but I did think she was mad at the time. Well, by the time she had weaved her magic it was painted and  decorated with vintge finds and treasures. It was pretty and romantic with the most amazing views out to sea and once again I was in awe of her talent and vision. These images bring back memories of Eve's beach shack!
