There is no particular defining style ~
but I think there's something about the natural light and possibly the vegetation
that you know it's a beach house somewhere in Australia.
Our beach houses are generally laid-back and casual,
they are designed for barefeet, wet towels and plenty of entertaining.
There are big decks because we spent most of the summer outdoors,
there's always a big back garden for a game of cricket, totem tennis or a barbeque
and there's always plenty of natural light streaming through the doors and windows.
I can always tell an Aussie beach house when I see one but I don't know how.
