Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue

Who doesn't love the 4th of July? Good ol' Independence Day...the Summeriest day of Summer.
And for me and Aaron it usually means a night down in Point Pleasant beach preceded by an evening filled with delish boardwalk treats...thick cut french fries, sausage and peppers, fresh squeezed lemonade, ice cream, and all varieties of fried wonderment. Living on the Jersey Shore we've got our pick of about a dozen amazing fireworks displays in every town along the coast...we just might be a little spoiled.

But this year we're going a bit more low key. Instead of a group of us driving down the shore a few miles to one of the big bustling boardwalks in Pt. Pleasant or Asbury Park, we're going to stick real close to home and walk the four blocks up to the beach right here in town. After about a 15 year absence we're now living back in our little home town and we'd like to celebrate the 4th right here this year.

I love everything about the 4th. Everyone is in a celebratory state of mind and summer is officially in full swing. I've gathered some beautiful bits of fun and fashion that are sure to put you in a festive mood.

Ok, to start with I'd like to show you a tiny glimpse of paradise...also known as : Paula's vintage camper named "Mary Lou"

I adore this 1950's inspired "Soda Fountain" dress!

Glittery stars are an all time fave! Giant Dwarf's creations make me so so happy!

Loving this vintage Catherinholm Lotus bowl!

Ohh take me to the boardwalk! ...with this La Sardina Camera in tow! The photos these toy-like cuties take are just magical!

This print...wow, for me there's way more here than meets the eye. The sights, sounds, scents, and spirits an image like this conjures up! Magic.

My happyplace, my little slice of heaven...it's quite simple really: A vintage beach motel way down the Jersey Shore...unchanged from it's Golden Age hey day...the feeling of walking right into a picture perfect postcard past. Yes, please book a reservation for two.

Me and Aaron both wish you all a super fun and utterly safe 4th of July. I'd love to hear about your traditions in your own neck of the woods. A Happy Summer to All!!
xo, Jenny
