A Beach Cottage

This 1940's Venice Beach bungalow belongs to a television costume designer. It has been simply renovated with buckets of white paint, splashes of vivid colour and treasures collected on the owners' travels. It is decorated in a relaxed, casual style allowing the owners to entertain spontaneously whenever guests happen to pop by. The bright white furnishings contrast warmly against dark oak floors that have a worn patina from all the sand tracked in. Turquoise green is the owner's favorite accent color and "is a way to bring the beach inside". The house is full of quirky vintage finds that give the place a feeling of warmth and personality.
