My Office & Studio

Me in my hobby room

I had a busy weekend redecorating my office and studio.

I share this space with my husband who has is a landscape architect. Despite living and working together 24 / 7 we get along amazingly well. This is probably due to the fact that our businesses are separate so if I am slacking off blogging and not working he doesn't care!! When we first moved into the new house - I just used the same bits and pieces from the old office - lots of black with pops of primary colours. Both of us felt like it didn't tie in with the colours and the beachy vibe of the rest of the house. Armed with some pretty inspiration I'd collected and saved on Pinterest ...sere here, I went to work changing the colour palette and the general feel of the space. We are so lucky to have such a big, bright, beautiful space to work in. It's light filled and we both have lovely views out to the garden. That crazy sandstone fireplace will keep us cosy in winter and it's nice and cool in summer. I had an old dark couch reupholstered in a light, fresh colour and added custom made cushions in aqua for a splash of colour. This corner is a great little area for meeting with clients. I have my computer desk, my bookshelves to keep me organised and a layout table as well as a fantastically big storeroom for samples, folders and junk. The look has been lightened up with lots of white, ocean-inspired artwork and aqua accents. We're both really thrilled with the end result.
